The first frost advisory for 2023 was issued for Rabun and Habersham Counties for Saturday night into Sunday morning. An additional watch was later added for neighboring White, Towns, Union, Lumpkin and Fannin Counties.
Temperatures across the region fell into the 30s and low-40s with patchy frost reported in areas protected from the wind. A few of the lows were:
Blairsville- 33
Cleveland- 36
Cornelia- 41
Jasper- 41
Hartwell- 43
Gainesville- 44
Temperatures are expected to fall into the 30s and 40s again on Sunday night but no advisories are in effect, however more patchy frost is certainly likely in low lying areas.
